Only $20 bucks more to stop over in Seoul, South Korea on my way back to Hong Kong...sure, why not!? A dear friend of mine that I met in Japan just happened to be on vacation spending a week there so it worked out perfectly. Every time we hang out, it´s a non-stop adventure of exploration all the way until the point where my feet feel like they are going to fall off. This time I think we were both limping by the end of the trip. Seoul was exactly the place I needed to go in order to restore my sanity. Part of me says this because it reminded me so much of Japan, only not as good quality but it was far better than China. That may sound harsh and no disrespect to any countries but it´s not my fault that Japan made an extremely good impression on me. Besides, I´m allowed to express my opinion. Anyways, Seoul was impressive and quite relaxing. I noticed many things but I could only compare with the two extreme countries that I had visited previously. At this point, Seoul rates right in the middle of China and Japan. Three days wasn´t long enough to make that much of an impression or really grasp my attention and all I knew is that it seemed like a slice of heaven from the mad mad world of China. There was one point in Seoul where I had forgotten which country I was in...not sure what that means. Maybe too much Asia? Nonetheless, a well needed get away. Next, say my good byes to my friends in HK and then on to meet my long lost relatives in the Philippines!!

Hey girl! I'm Michelle. I'm friends with Heidi and Billy and they were telling me about your travels and your blog so I asked them to send me your link so I could read up!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I will be doing essentially the same thing you are starting this November! Very excited {first stop, Spain}.
Anyway, good luck to you.
