Cafe ain soph. This is where I work and it is located in Ginza, a very rich part of Tokyo. Your finest shopping and nicest restaurants lie in this area and you'll often see the suits and well dressed walking these streets. The Cafe itself is a vegetarian cuisine on the 1st/2nd floor. On the 3rd floor they host private parties/yoga classes, 4th floor is office/storage, 5th/6th floor is a spa. It's strange because there are a lot of similarities in this business that remind me of my senior project that I designed. The people at the Cafe are the most kind and generous people on this planet. Yuki, the owner and Hiroco have offered me a place to live and food to eat in exchange for some work around the Cafe. To help them, I am creating an English section for their menu, pages for the cafe website and some of their other share house websites. I am also assisting with their social media (Facebook, Twitter, Blogs). It is so much fun and I enjoy every second of it. Yesterday after some social media work, they were short staffed and had a big party coming in...so I stayed to help. Here I was thinking I would be in the kitchen assisting with Hirohisa (chef/musician), not at all, they threw me right into that party serving and it was the scariest thing ever. I have a lot of experience serving but this felt like it was my first time, and not to mention I can't speak their language! The staff thought it was so funny (all in good nature of course), I tried to make myself unavailable for that party because it gave me so much anxiety and switched to help Hiroco make yummy vegan banana cake. Phew! Glad I survived that one.
