The Prep Work

Dentists, doctors, vaccinations (8), passports, visas, luggage, banking, iPhones, international plans, money money & money, selling everything you have, becoming homeless, paying off your bills, quitting your job, saying bye to the ones you love, giving up that comfortable lifestyle that we all know as our everyday routines and the endless amounts of going away celebrations organized by everyone but you, haha. There is so much to consider and so much to plan for that it became so overwhelming to the point where I just wanted to forget about the whole thing. I spent my last couple of months planning, trying to ready myself, and at the same time I was questioning whether this was a smart move or not...and even with all the prep work I still don't feel ready. I realized that with this kind of trip, there is only so much planning one can do. There are too many unknown variables and the best way to survive is to experience the situation first hand, hoping and praying that you are using your best judgements in combination with meeting the right people. This trip has been a mere dream that I have always wanted to make come true, but now that the time is finally here...I am more scared than anything. Yet I know in my heart that this is the right thing for me and the time is now. I hope that you all follow my blog and let me know you haven't forgotten about me! I am going to miss my friends and family so much!!! Off I go...blogging at the next hotspot...Tokyo, Japan!
